Take-Two keeps GTA VI on course for fall 2025 in Q3 results
Take-Two's February 2025 earnings release still listed GTA VI for fall 2025 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no exact day. That plan later changed.
Published on Leonidle , after the event.
When Take-Two Interactive published its results for the final three months of 2024 on February 6, 2025, Grand Theft Auto VI was still slated for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in fall 2025. The publisher named a season, not a day.
That plan did not survive. Less than three months later Take-Two confirmed that Rockstar had moved the game to May 26, 2026, and in November 2025 the date moved again, to November 19, 2026 (our report), where it stands today. Treat this post as a snapshot of the schedule at the time. The timeline has every date in order.
What the release said
The product table in Take-Two's earnings release gave GTA VI a window of "Fall of calendar 2025." In his statement, chief executive Strauss Zelnick listed it among the year's big launches, next to Civilization VII, Mafia: The Old Country and Borderlands 4, and said the company was "highly confident" of record net bookings in fiscal 2026 and 2027.
Zelnick did not add a date. He told Variety the company had "announced a pretty narrow window," and that Rockstar would have more to say when the time was right.
He did not rule out a slip, either. Asked by IGN about the risk of a delay, he said there is "always a risk of slippage," then added, "So we feel really good about it," CGMagazine reported.
