Rumor: insider claims GTA VI review codes are out, with reviews due November 18
Rumor: insider NateTheHate claims GTA VI review codes have reached media, with reviews allowed on November 18. Rockstar has not confirmed it.
Published on Leonidle , after the event.
The insider NateTheHate claimed on X on October 26 that Rockstar had started sending GTA VI review code to the press, and that reviews may be published from November 18. GTA Boom says his earlier GTA VI calls on a November release and an August marketing push "held up," though he has been wrong before, "mostly on Nintendo reveal windows."
What is being claimed
The post makes two claims: codes are now with media outlets, and the review embargo lifts on November 18, the day before launch. Insider Gaming says it can "independently verify" the reports, without explaining how, and it names no outlets that have a copy. Earlier this month, GTA Boom says, the same insider said codes had not yet gone out but would before October ended.
Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has confirmed any of this. Notebookcheck notes that the studio has not confirmed the embargo date, and it gives no time of day for it. Other details circulating online, such as specific hours or which sites must wait until launch, are unverified, and we have left them out.
What it means for players
If the claim is right, full reviews would appear about a day before the game unlocks on November 19, 2026, and after preloading opens on November 12. Nothing about the release itself changes. The launch FAQ lists what Rockstar has confirmed so far.
