South Park episode airs a GTA VI gameplay clip, outlets report

Outlets say a new South Park episode showed unseen GTA VI gameplay, citing a thank-you to Rockstar in its credits. No Rockstar statement yet.

The South Park episode "Guinea Pig on a Stick", which aired on Comedy Central on October 28, included a short GTA VI clip that several outlets describe as gameplay nobody had seen before. They treat it as genuine because the episode's credits thank Rockstar Games. None of the reports includes a statement from Rockstar or Comedy Central.

What the clip shows

In the episode, Randy Marsh, the boys and others sit in a meeting room while a presenter plays the footage. According to Insider Gaming, a dog relieves itself on a busy beach, and the player, as Jason, picks up the mess and hits the dog's owner with it. VICE says the waste can be thrown at people as well as swung, and calls the crowd on the beach "absolutely insane."

For players, that is about all it adds: a crude improvised weapon and a very crowded beach. It says nothing new about the release, editions or story.

Why outlets call it real

The only evidence is the thank-you to Rockstar in the end credits. PC Guide reads that credit as proof the footage is official rather than leaked. VICE goes further: it reads the credits as showing that Rockstar supplied the gameplay to the show's animation studio. None of the outlets cites a statement from Rockstar, so this rests on their reading of the credits, not an announcement.

Background

The episode is the fourth of South Park's 29th season. Insider Gaming notes that GTA VI's release has been a running joke on the show this season. Rockstar's most recent official videos are An Extended Look in August and the Launch Trailer on October 15. The game comes out on November 19, 2026; see the launch FAQ for what Rockstar has confirmed.
