Privacy policy

Effective date: 2026-10-15.

This policy explains what data Leonidle ("the site") collects, why, and the choices you have. The site is operated by fans and is not affiliated with the publisher of GTA VI.

Summary

• Playing does not require an account. Results and preferences are stored on your device.
• The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Where your region requires it, a consent banner asks for your choice before advertising cookies are used.
• Page views are measured with Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and reports aggregated figures only.
• An optional account stores your puzzle results so they follow you across devices.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, depending on your region and your choices. In regions where the law requires consent, a consent banner asks for your choice before any advertising cookie is set; you can change that choice later from the link in the footer. You can also manage how Google personalises ads at adssettings.google.com and read how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are used. It does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you, and reports aggregated numbers such as page paths, referrers, device type and country. Because it is cookieless and aggregated, it loads regardless of your consent choice.

Accounts (optional)

Accounts are optional and only available when the account feature is switched on. You can create an account with an email address and a password, or create an anonymous account with no email address. The email address is used to send account confirmation and password-reset links. Passwords are stored by Supabase as a hash; the site never sees them.

With an account, the site stores: an account id, the email address you gave (if any), your puzzle results (date, game, score, attempts, whether the puzzle was played on its own day) and the streak derived from them. Results already stored on your device are merged into the account the first time you sign in. Accounts are hosted on Supabase.

Signing out removes the account from the device. To delete an account and its data, contact the site (details below) and it is removed on request.

Data stored on your device

Without an account, your results, in-progress guesses, streak, theme choice and consent choice are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you create an account. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.

Data sharing

The site does not sell personal data. Data is processed by the providers named in this policy in order to run the site: Google (advertising), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Supabase (accounts). Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

Changes are published on this page with a new effective date.
