Miami Heat reveal GTA VI-themed Vice City uniforms for November 18 game
According to the Heat, they will wear Nike x Cactus Jack Vice City uniforms on November 18 and sell a fan jersey. No statement from Rockstar.
The Miami Heat have unveiled two Nike x Cactus Jack "Vice City" uniforms, which the team will wear once, against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 18, the eve of GTA VI's release. The reveal came from the Heat's event page and was covered by ESPN and TMZ; none of these sources carries a statement from Rockstar.
Two versions
The fan version, a black Swingman jersey, swaps the Heat logo for "Vice City" in pink and white and adds a "VI" patch. TMZ describes a reversed Nike Swoosh, Travis Scott's trademark, plus six pink stars on the hem and a tag that names Rockstar, the Heat and Cactus Jack.
The version the players wear is plainer. Sole Retriever says NBA uniform rules keep out obvious game references, so the game's map is built into the chest logo instead, and TMZ notes a Robinhood sponsor patch where the "VI" would be.
Buying one
Accounts differ. ESPN and TMZ say both versions go on sale in limited numbers on November 18. The Heat's page lists only the fan jersey for sale that night and marks the on-court one "On Court Only." No price has been given.
Background
The Heat had already announced "A Night in Vice City": a 7 p.m. ET home game at the Kaseya Center, shown on ESPN, played on a one-off themed court. The arena also sells GTA-branded food from Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell stands. A separate, unconfirmed claim about Travis Scott GTA VI sneakers remains a rumor. GTA VI launches November 19; see the launch FAQ.
