Rockstar Games put a price on Grand Theft Auto VI on June 24, 2026: $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. Pre-orders went live on June 25, at midnight in each region, and digital buyers can start preloading on November 12, a week before the November 19 launch.

The key facts

Everything in this list comes from Take-Two's press release and Rockstar's Newswire:

  • Launch: November 19, 2026 (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S).
  • Standard Edition: $79.99.
  • Ultimate Edition: $99.99.
  • Bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack, for every pre-order and for any purchase made before November 20, 2026.
  • Digital pre-orders: a free month of GTA+ on top.
  • Preloading: from November 12, 2026, for digital pre-orders.
  • Where to buy: Rockstar's own store, the PlayStation and Microsoft stores, and retailers around the world.

What it means for players

You do not have to pre-order to get the bonus. Because the cutoff is November 20, a copy bought on launch day still comes with the Vintage Vice City Pack.

The GTA+ month is for digital pre-orders only. Take-Two says the subscription opens the GTA+ Games Library, which includes Grand Theft Auto V and other older Rockstar games. RockstarINTEL points out that the free month has to be redeemed before it expires and then renews at the normal monthly price unless you cancel.

A boxed copy holds a download code, not a disc. Take-Two says the physical version reaches shelves on November 12 so its owners can preload as well. A few days later, Kotaku relayed a report from The Hollywood Reporter that "there are no plans for Grand Theft Auto VI discs to be printed."

Standard is not a dead end. RockstarINTEL reports that Standard owners can buy an Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately later.

Inside the Vintage Vice City Pack

Rockstar's GTA VI site lists three parts, which RockstarINTEL and Vice also detailed:

  • A '55 Vapid Stanier, parked in a Shore Court garage close to Ocean Beach.
  • Throwback outfits and hairstyles for both Jason and Lucia.
  • A tropical weapon finish modeled on Tommy Vercetti's palm-tree shirt.

What the Ultimate Edition adds

Take-Two's release describes premium vehicles, weapons and apparel, plus "action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story." Rockstar's site names the pieces:

  • Vehicles: among them a '95 Grotti Cheetah, a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, a Dinka Enduro motorcycle, a Shitzu Squalo boat and a Crest kayak.
  • Two mod shops for Ultimate owners only: Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's.
  • More businesses: Sara's Unisex Salon, the Electric Fang tattoo parlor and a clothing store, Stock 305.
  • Weapons: his-and-hers Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers, plus an engraved pistol each for Jason and Lucia.
  • Extra missions: a Classic Car Collection commission from the fixer Wyman, and a PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store mission.

Background

The release calls GTA VI "a single-player experience" and says nothing about an online mode for the new game; the online launch tracker follows that question. On the same day, Sony began its plays best on PS5 campaign, which repeated the pre-order and bonus details on the PlayStation Blog.
