Grand Theft Auto VI is getting two limited-edition PS5 controllers. Sony showed them in its State of Play on September 3, 2026, and the pair goes on sale on November 19, the day the game launches, at $84.99, £74.99 or €84.99.
Two looks at Vice City
Each design is built around a time of day. The Black edition is meant to capture the city's "iconic nightlife," while the White one draws on "Vice City at daybreak," in the words of the PlayStation Blog announcement, which Sony and Rockstar signed together. Both share a shimmering finish that shifts color, palm trees molded into the shell, and official GTA VI branding. VGC also pointed out a large "VI" printed on each touchpad.
The same post says GTA VI uses the DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to react to what happens in the game, a point Sony and Rockstar first made in June when they billed GTA VI as playing best on PS5.
Where and when to order
Pre-orders opened on September 10 at 10 a.m. local time (7 a.m. Pacific in the US). Both are made in limited numbers. The White controller is sold worldwide through PlayStation Direct and participating stores. The Black one is a PlayStation Direct exclusive in the countries where that store operates, and goes through selected retailers elsewhere. Sony notes that launch timing can vary by region.
No PS5 console bundle was part of the announcement. If you are still choosing a copy of the game itself, our editions guide covers the prices and what each version includes.
